Creativity, teamwork, skills and passion.
Being in a constant creative process is motivating. Each project requires research and an in-depth study of the subject in order to translate it into a stage or screen performance. Having the freedom to create, invite more people to the creative process and transform the ideas into a meaningful, sensitive and authentic piece is wonderful.
As a performance artist, I integrate dance, music and multimedia to guide viewers through aesthetic and reflective journeys.
My most recent works explore universal and contemporary themes, focusing on the complex human condition and our responsibility in today's global environment.
My approach often involves the creation of characters with defined psychologies, and I always seek to address issues with a touch of humor.
Since 2001, I have explored the union of dance and video in creative laboratories, collaborating with artists such as Josue Abraham Palma, Paul Rohlfs, Konrad Behr, among others.
Videodance captures substantial movements and offers new choreographic possibilities in cinematic contexts, and multimedia supports the contextualization of my creative proposals.
My currento project adapts literary characters into contemporary works, using dance, music and video to deliver their essence and message in a unique and accessible way.
Since 2007, I have been directing educational and community projects that combine dance with other artistic disciplines. The purpose is to share art as an essential part of our human growth and making children, teenagers, adults and seniors connect through projects with creative processes that culminate on stage or on screen.
I have led projects in theaters, schools and organizations in several countries, and I founded the UMtanz association to create a platform for dance in rural areas as well. As a dance artist I share the knowledge that this art offers me in its creative and experiential dimension. My approach also includes cultural promotion and educational projects.
